"Successful inclusion"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital

(as other),

I was at Fiona Stanley Hospital and noticed a very pleasant young lady, in uniform, working on the ground floor in the public arena. I also noticed she has Down's Syndrome. So here's a shout out for her and the hospital for employing her. I'm feeling proud for both of them.

It made me so proud I put the above comment on a group I belong to on FB, so I could the share the joy. 66 loves/likes in less than 24 hrs (and a comment to me to share my story here) which I have hoping that young lass gets a pat on the back.

Dear runningdr86,

Many thanks for sharing your kind comments on Patient Opinion. At Fiona Stanley Hospital, we place a high value on inclusion in the workplace and recognise everyone brings different strengths and experiences to our organisation. By partnering with local disability employment support services, we are able to engage a diverse workforce, who make a positive difference every day.

We will share this compliment with our employees.

Kind regards

Janet Zagari
