"An ambulance ride to ED"

(as the patient),

I called health direct, I was scared about what my health condition meant. The lady said she’d organise an ambulance and asked me if that was ok. It was good to be asked.

My condition didn’t seem life threatening so I was advised to hang up & rest until the ambulance came, but to call if my symptoms got worse.

The ambulance guys were pleasant & respectful & reassuring.

When I arrived at hospital I was made comfortable & despite feeling silly about why I was there, I was reassured that I’d done the right thing and was in the right place.
