"Emergency care at regional hospitals"

About: Exmouth Health Service / Emergency Department Geraldton Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a friend),

We are travelling by road and before leaving home, surgery had been performed to remove melanomas. During the trip, the wounds were breaking down and deteriorating and any hope of healing required medical attention.

Fortunately, at Exmouth Emergency Department there was no waiting time. Both Trish, the nurse, and David, the doctor, attended quickly and efficiently giving us advice for ongoing treatment and cleaning and dressing wounds with care. The same was experienced at Geraldton Emergency Department.

We are so fortunate to live in a country where medical assistance is so readily available. Our experience was a great relief and we are so very grateful to all involved in the public system. Thank you most sincerely.

Dear HAPH,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us on Patient Opinion regarding your care at the Exmouth and Geraldton Hospitals. I was sorry to read of your recent health experience however so pleased to read that the care you received at both Hospitals was professional and of a high calibre.

The teams at the Exmouth and Geraldton Hospitals strive to provide high quality, compassionate, professional health care and it is very uplifting to know they helped make a stressful experience for yourself a little less so. It certainly takes a team to provide healthcare to our community and your positive experience is a great example of the work our teams do every day. I will take great pride and delight in passing on your compliment on with a special mention to Dr David and Nurse Trish.

Thanks again for sharing your story. I hope you have recovered well and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Warm regards,
