"My husband had a severe stroke"

About: Geraldton Hospital

(as a carer),

Three and a half years ago my husband suffered a severe stroke. Spending 11 months in hospital, we finally made it home to Geraldton. Through the 3 1/2 yrs we have had support services in place for my husband. The Day Therapy Unit at Geraldton Regional Hospital, have been most helpful for my husband and his needs. They have implemented many appropriate and beneficial programmes. As everyone is different, some plans work and some don't. So, we just try again. The team are very patient, courteous and understand to meet my husband's needs and the family as a whole.Wonderful people to have working with us. THANK YOU.

Dear Tinkerbell

Thank you for sharing your story and acknowledging the care your husband received from the team at the Geraldton Health Campus Day Therapy Unit.

Your feedback means a lot to us as our staff are dedicated professionals and knowing that your husband experienced care and treatment in such a positive way is a real tribute to them.

I have forwarded your kind words on to the team

Once again thank you for taking the time to write to us and we wish your husband the very best on his recovery journey.

Kind regards
