About: Fremantle Hospital and Health Service / Mental Health Unit Peel Health Campus

(as the patient),

In my opinion, the way they treat patients at Peel Health Campus Mandurah and Fremantle Hospital these days is unacceptable. One doctor in particular made me feel berated, put down and I felt they had no understanding.

What do you expect us to do about it - in my view, this must make him feel good. If only he knew what I had been through in my life.

Also asked why I didn’t follow through with suicide. At the time I decided not to go through with it, because under the circumstances I would be likely to only cause myself significant injuries and not finish my life off once and for all.

I believe you need to show some compassion doctor. I am filled with rage and hate.

Dear Felt berated,

I was very concerned to read your story and I am very sorry that your experience with our health service was such a distressing one for you and left you feeling berated, put down and not understood. This is not how we would want any of our patients to feel.

Based on what you have said I would like you to contact me so I can gain more information to enable us to learn from your experience and hopefully restore trust. I can be contacted on 6152 3121.

Once again I am sorry for your experience and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Janet Zagari

A/Executive Director
