I was left in a corridor all day and was going to have to sleep in that corridor. The nursing staff were caring and amazing. However in my opinion, the people who were capable of solving the situation did nothing. I believe the hospital executive could do more to care for their patients and staff.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am very sorry that you were left in the corridor during your time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and that this has left you with negative feelings of your stay.

Nurses, doctors, allied health and patient support staff together with hospital management work closely together to make the patient journey in hospital as smooth as possible and to ensure they are transferred to their ward in a timely way. Unfortunately we are not always able to move patients directly to their ward bed as we are waiting on other patients to be discharged and for the bed to be cleaned. I am sorry this happened on this occasion.

I will ensure that your feedback is passed on to hospital executive so that they lead discussion with other staff members on ways to improve this.
