"Admission and Discharge"

About: Sale Hospital

(as the patient),

Admission to Sale Emergency was excellent. I was diagnosed with pneumonia by my GP and advised to go to hospital. I cannot fault the attention I received. I was then transferred to the Medical Ward and again the attention was excellent. Tests revealed Influenza A and I was placed in quarantine for 5 days. I was in hospital a further 2 days. I still had lung collapse with severe breathing difficulties and low blood pressure yet was discharged. I believe I was discharged too early.

On a final note however - Sale Hospital serve the best food, it is first class. To any whingers out there go to other hospitals and see what you get. You do not know how lucky you are. Probably better than you eat at home! !

Dear Boots and Socks

Thank you very much for taking the time to tell us your story.

I hope you are now recovering well.

I am very pleased to learn of the positive aspects of your stay with us. I will take a great deal of pleasure passing on your feedback to our staff. I know our food services staff will be absolutely chuffed with your feedback.

I am very sorry to learn that your discharged was premature and that you had significant unresolved medical issues.

We have a team who have been doing some great work in improving our patient's discharge and transition from hospital to home.

I will ask this team to look into what happened for you and how we can learn from your experience.

If there is anything we can do for you or if you would like to provide me with any additional information or wish to talk with me for any reason you can contact me on 0351438319 or by email at: frank.evans@cghs.com.au

Kind regards

Frank
